This Dwindle Distribution video about thier new wood shop (“DSM”) is making the rounds. It’s also upsetting in a way. Why?  Well, it looks like this is a Chinese (or Asian) factory. Every worker is Asian, It’s definitely not in the US since I didn’t see a single Mexican.  

If you were ever interested in how a board is made (yeah, I know you think you know, but you probably don’t) this is a must watch. Pay close attention ot the way Dwindle modified their presses to make sure each board has the same tail/nose kick and concave (starting around the 4 minute mark)

 Got the night footage edited and up on vimeo.com. Lot’s of locals (NC types) ripping along with the Emerica dudes.  Good times for sure and I hope the “Showdown” will be as good or better.  Keep an eye out for the daytime session video (should be up today).

Details are a bit sketchy but it seems he fell from a balcony or a window while in Berlin, Germany on a Vans tour.  Van was 24 years old. I just hope it wasn’t some stupid shit that caused his death. The guy was supposed to be Krooked Skateboards‘ newest pro.  This is the second high-profile skateboarder to die in little over a year. Last March Shane Cross died while in Australia–he was only 21.

Update: Seems Van took some pain killers. Some reports said he was drinking beer and wanted to go to the hospital then fell out of a window. I’ll post more when I find out. More “info” can be found here, here, here, and here.

I think this commericial/video is only interesting because Bam is in it. Notice the skateboard strapped to his back?  It looks like Bam has to play Mr. Evil in a game of tic-tac-toe to save himself or maybe the Baltic Sea?

It’s a Finnish company that puts water in donut-shaped container. I found some more info on this over at Kingpinskateboarding.com
